Bumble Bee Chicken Salad with Crackers is Delicious and Convenient

Consumer Product Review

A few nights ago, while shopping for a few food items at a Hartford, Connecticut, CVS store, I noticed a new product made by Bumble Bee. Bumble Bee Chicken Salad with Crackers is a great new item that features a small can of tasty chicken salad, along with a separate package of snack crackers.

A tiny plastic spoon with which to spread the chicken salad is also included. This item so impressed me, I decided to write a review of it.

Presented here, in an effort to assist the consumer, is one food writer's product review of Bumble Bee Chicken Salad with Crackers.

Packaging

Bumble Bee Chicken Salad with Crackers consists of one small metal can filled with chicken salad, a small, foil-wrapped package of snack crackers and a cute little plastic spoon. The can features an aluminum foil top that is easily removed via the handy tab that extends past the can's ridge. The foil package of snack crackers is sealed shut, keeping the crackers nice and fresh.

The tiny plastic spoon that is included is just the right size for scooping out the chicken salad from the can. These components are all packaged in a cardboard container that features an illustration of chicken salad atop a cracker.

Size

The net weight of the Bumble Bee Chicken Salad with Crackers is 3.5 ounces (99 grams). At first glance, I thought the can of chicken salad would only contain enough product for a couple of bites. While the can is small, it actually provides enough product to coat the enclosed snack crackers lightly, with a good amount left over. The foil - wrapped package of snack crackers contains six crackers

Texture

The texture of the Bumble Bee Chicken Salad is quite satisfying. Not at all pasty, or overly smooth, this chicken salad features chunks of real chicken meat, accented with tiny pieces of celery and water chestnuts. This delicious chicken salad is also held together with just the right amount of dressing.

Bumble Bee Chicken Salad contains 140 calories, with 70 calories from fat, per one can serving (82 grams). This product also contains 1.5 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams trans fat, 8 grams total fat, 25 mg of cholesterol, 410 mg of cholesterol, 10 grams total carbs, 6 grams of sugars, 0 grams of fiber and 8 grams of protein.

Taste / Flavor

The flavor of Bumble Bee Chicken Salad very much surprised me. I was expecting to find a bland or overly salty spread-like product. Instead, what I found was a delightful chicken salad that features an exciting flavor that is fairly sweet. Truthfully, I think this chicken salad is just as good as the chicken salads served at some restaurants.

Price

The price I recently paid for one 3.5 ounce package of Bumble Bee Chicken Salad with Crackers at a Hartford, Connecticut, CVS Pharmacy was $1.99. At first, I thought the price was quite high, but after purchasing and eating the product, I feel that the price is actually reasonable. For people on the go, or for when you're seeking a quick and light snack, Bumble Bee Chicken Salad with Crackers is a great food item.

Overall Rating

Bumble Bee Chicken Salad with Crackers is a very flavorful product that is convenient and reasonably priced. This item is sold at food retailers everywhere and is easy to store. Refrigeration is not necessary until the can of chicken salad has been opened. Bumble Bee Chicken Salad with Crackers is highly recommended by this food writer.
